Octopus skimmer that I am modifying

Not done yet.
Impeller housing for Laguna utility 5 (=Laguna 3000, 1200 gph). Red Dragon pumps are modified Laguna pumps, they don't use 3000 or smaller pumps I believe.

I wonder if one of these new sequence pumps would work well - apparently has a built in venturi - of course, at $270, it better be awesome!!

I will update when once it finished. Meanwhile, here is what I am going to do.
The clear boby will be glue to pcv tube by high psi 2-part epoxy
Impeller housing to pvc tube by pvc welder, pvc cement won't work too soft when dried.
Base of the skimmer is removable for cleaning or further modification later.
I am going to use T fitting instead of elbow to connect outlet pipe to skimmer body, a valve to the other opening for draining.
The air tubing will go inside outlet pipe.
I am think about making center of the base clear, about 3" diameter and put some led light under it to light up the skimmer at night. This can be done anytime later.
All these will take a while since I am pretty busy at this point.
