Ocean's Motions alternating current systems. Wavemaker

I was wondering if anyone had one of these they could take some pics of. If It was on their system I would love to see what kind of motor they use on it.

Does the system run the diverter by a direct shaft or does it run the diverter by a magnetic drive.

Thanks,
Tres

it isnt a pump.....i think it is more of a water flower diverter like a scwd....you use it in a closed loop system with an external pump...to my knowlwdge though it does have a "mag drive" but that is to to move the diverter so water can go from one pipe to another

If you look at the system it has a motor on top to rotate the diverter. My question is does the motor drive the diverter directly? Or is it some sort of magnetic drive. I know that you use an external pump and this merely oscillates the flow from one outlet to another.

Here is a link to the Oceans Motions web site. It has some info and they have their own forum with more real world info.

The drum on new models is magnetic driven.

The one I have is direct drive. The motor turns the diverter inside the core of the unit.

I just dug through the web site a little more. It looks like the new models are magnetically driven, and you can purchase a conversion kit to upgrade the direct drive models to magnetic drive.

Well I like the system except for how huge they are and how much they cost. They are proud of their plastic. hmmm.

Great pieces of equipmentr though. I had one on my 135. If you are not going to use Tunze or some other wavemaker type device these are excellent!
