Oceanic protein skimmer - Anyone know anything about them?

[Hey All,
When I bought the 140 from David he was kind enough to toss in this Ocenaic Plus Series 6 Protein Skimmer. Anyone know what max tank its rated for and what pump should work to run it? Also theres a threaded hole in the base , the one you can see in the picture - what goes there? Ive emailed Oceanic and hopefully they will reply.

[i have one running on my 150g i am not shure about the flow rate. the hole is where the water comes out. i would like to know more information on ot to. so if they e-mail you back i would like to know what they said.]
 
[Ahh so can just put that as a return to the sump ...Doh I shoulda thought of that.I will fwd the emails to you when oceanic replys.David also gave me a Rio 3100 pump to run it and he said it was just fine and pulling good skimmate.Heck If your happy with it on a 150 im sure it will be fine on the 140.

The Rio 3100 is for the return pump. The Skimmer doesnt have a pump. What would you suggest to run it with?What are you using pets24?

[Heres what the email from Oceanic said:

We no longer carry any information on that skimmer as it has been out of production for a few years now. We can say that in the "base" section there is an opening lower where a pump should attach and an opening higher up that is where there water drains out. You can use any pump that you can attach to the skimmer.

I'd look for a pump around 600-700 GPH for the skimmer and see how that goes. Try posting on Reefcentral to ask if anyone has this skimmer, or do a search for it and find some tank profile with this skimmer, and send them an email asking what pump they use.]
