[I ordered my MH kit last week and I began to make modifications to my hood so that the MH would be further off the water than my PC bulbs. I looked on Marc's site and after talking with him, I decided to go with the stilts route that he's got on his website.
The only problem is that the hood is only supported on the corners of the tank and not all away around the trim. How can I raise the hood w/o risking later stability problems. I have thought of nailing/glueing dowel rods on the inside of the hood and resting the stilts on this, but I would like more opinions.
I can take a picture to clarify but someone is going to have to post it for me.
Thanks,
Chris]
