Hey everyone , I started a 5 gallon tank under my stand a few months ago for frags and stuff . Me and my family just went on a trip to destin fl so I decided to take some ocean water and sand back home and put in the 5 gallon tank , I can not believe how much life is swimming and floating around , so I did not put any mechanical filtration . Instead I took a plastic pipe from a sponge filter and I have packed Chetomorpha around the bottom , and so far it has worked great . The water is clear , and there is still tons of life in suspension , I believe all the little clams are helping keep the water clean to . I will post photos in a bit .
