Not so hairy mellepora - Whats up?

[Ok before anyone asks...

alk is averaging 9 or 10
cal is around 480
nitrates, nitrites, ammonia 0

My millepora is obviously not dead but ever since he was introduced to my tank abiut 3 weeks ago his polyps haven't seemed to come out much. I have moved home all over trying to get results from 6 inches from the lights down to the bottom and back up again.

I have noticed my citrin clown goby has taken a liking to him and is constantly perched on it...would this be enough to tick it off and not fuzz up?

Any help would be appreciated...and I do use T5's and my other sps is doing fine...just not this guy..]
 
[I'll post a pic tonight if I have time..running out the door to work..but I have a mag 5 return, seio 820, and seio 620 in a 58 gallon so i assume my flow is good....

I've haven't seen any picking...I have seen some polyps but nthey are barely coming out..I mean they are barely visible...again I will try to post a pic tonight..

I also have a stag, a.tenius, birdsnest, hydronaphora, green & brown monti dig, orang and green with purple rim monti cap, and some softies and lps.]
