If you've never done saltwater before, it would be MUCH safer to start with a larger tank. The larger the better. (Min 55-60 gal). It's much easier to keep water parameters stable in a larger body of water. If your parameters do get out of whack, and they will from time to time, a bigger water volume is more forgiving.

The person im getting it from is a friend andshe has had the tank up and going for 2 yr or so now so she is gonna help me with it and all. Just dont want to over load the tank. I would like to get a piar of clowns for sure an anemone for them for sure but didn't know what else I can put in there. And wanted a few other fish to go with them but dont want to get something that isnt going go with them.

a pair of ocellaris clowns will pretty much fill that tank - they are some of the smallest clowns but still get to be 2-3", and if they actually pair up they will claim most of the tank as their territory. you might be able to fit 1-2 more fish in, such as a lawnmower blenny,a chromis/damsel, dottyback, goby or small tough fish such as them that will eat prepared foods.
for corals, if your main focus is a pair of clowns and an anemone i would stick to the easy/hardy soft corals, such as colt/kenya, mushroms, xenia/anthilia, and zoanthids/palythoas. and a few invertebrates such as blue legged hermits, brittle stars, snails etc. there is enough variety there to make a beautiful tank that wont drive you crazy trying to keep all the parameters in line. the anemone will be your biggest problem, as they can be very picky about water parameters.

K thanks bunches ....it has the stars in there already as well and the above post helps out a lot once set up here ill give it 2 months to settle in before I add anything.

If you have a lid or canopy a fire fish would be a great one to have. Cheap for how pretty it is. Gets along with clowns. Eats flake food. But boy do thy love to jump ship in small tanks.

Your tank is to small for an anemone. Usually you should do anemones on in 30 gallon or up. They fan out a lot so there won't be a lot of room. Another option would be a hairy mushroom coral. They have lots of color and look similar to an anemone kinda

if the anem is the only thing there + clownfish they do alright. downside to it is you need an ATO or salinity changes will kill the anem quickly and lights.

It comes with a marineland actinic t5 and a 10k led t5 lights. The back of the tank is a refugium it has 2-3 kinds of macro algaes, snails, baby serpent stars, starfishes, red dragons breath, blasto coral, and 10lbs of live rock and 10-15 lbs of sand.

Here is some pic of it the last one is before she cleaned it.....she has been working a but load so hasnt had time to but hascleaned it already :). Its just algae .
