New to area... Best place to buy a tank

Im fairly new to Texas, and am just in the planning stages till I get back from Iraq. Im trying to figure out where my tank budget will take me though. Can anyone let me know the best, and cheapest places to buy a tank? Im looking for either a 120g, 125g, or if the price was right even 180g. All I need is the tank as I have most everything else, and will be building a stand/canopy. Round about prices would be nice too, as its hard for me to find them out over here, but they are not necessary. I am between Dallas and Austin btw, but will travel pretty much anywhere in Texas for a good price.

Oh and if anyone is going to give me a price, please do it via private message or email. I can see how that would be inappropriate in open forums unless a mod chimes in otherwise.
 
Just keep an eye on the for sale forum here. There are always tanks available. Most of the time they are at very good prices. Sometimes you may have to buy a package deal and resell what you don't want to use. You can also keep an eye on craigslist but I hardly ever look there myself. I feel more comfortable dealing with the people on this board. (But that does not mean you can't get burned here, just not as likely)
 
That is a very likely senario. Im all about buying used, and when buying a full setup, its usually alot cheaper. I was just feeling the waters on what a new one would run me......
 
Give Frank (Frank's Tanks) a call.... he usually does really well on prices. You can find him in the Find your local Fish Store in the upper right corner of the website.

Dallas North Aquarium always has large used tanks in the front of their store that they are selling.

I never really pay attention to the price though.
 
Thanks everyone. Ill give franks a call. Btw, I dont know what the ambient temp is, but around noon it tends to average about 115 on the thermometer. Just pretend your inside a convection oven getting shot with a sand blaster ;)

I got a great deal on a 150 gallon tank fron rift 2 reef in Lewisville on 407. They can check around with their vendors and if someone has a sale get you a good deal.
