New Red Sea Pro test kits

I've been having difficulty with the endpoint colors on these and would like some opinions, specially the KH test which is supposed to end up with a copper looking color. I did see some vids on the tests, but still have difficulty with the KH test. How do you guys like these new test kits? On the KH test, are you supposed to stop once purple changes, or are you supposed to match the color to the card end point color? Kind of difficult to ascertain IMO !!

I typically add 2-3 more drops once you see a distinct change. Typically the blue will get real dark and then immediately lighten up to a purple color. When i add 2-3 more drops it is a pinkish red.

Nothing is going to match the card exactly. One thing to note is that the glass container needs to be cleaned out every time. I add a few drops of vinegar with water. I let them sit and dump them out after an hour. Once its air dried I can test again.

The only problems people have mentioned was the Mg kit. It reads high from what people say. I've compared it to my ELOS kit and it was high.

Yeah I have the same problem with mg. Mg with Red sea is at 1500 and salifert test is at 1300 but I don't know!

You just have to watch it closely, as Kyle said it changes back to purple quick. Once it is purple, add a single drop and you will see the purple leave, that's when I stop. The blue color is pretty noticeable at first. The card is more for reference, not direct comparison IMO.

When do you guys stop adding reagent specifically on the KH test wich I believe is the 1 that's supposed to end up with a Copper color? Thanks for your help.

I have to take the sample into the other room because the blue leds on my tank make it hard to tell. I will set the sample next to a white piece of paper or hold it over the lightbulb in a lamp. As soon as ther is no hint of blue i quit adding reagent.

Same ... its usually 2-3 drops more than when you see the color change from dark blue to a purple hue.
