New lighting, waaahoooeeee!

I have been running my 50g reef on 260 of pc compact since I set it up. Tonight, my new fixture, a current sunpod 2x150w (15K) finally arrived and I installed it. WOW!! It looks amazing! The months of pc allowed the coraline to really grow out and the tank is bursting with color. My threadfin fairy wrasse is flaring his fins all over the place and the green chromis and yellow tang look like jewels in the tank.
What a difference a new light can make! I am in love with my reef all over again!

Hi,

You may want to consider acclimating your corals etc., to the new light levels. You can reduce your lighting period , raise the lights, add screen material or a combination of these. You just don't want to shock your corals, even though MH setup appears to be less wattage, the light penetrates deeper into the tank than your previous light system. Congrats on the new lights. :)

Cheers,
