New Fish Suggestion

Currently in my tank I have the following fish:

Flame Angel
Foxface
Sixline Wrasse
Tomato Clown
Regal Tang
Yellow Sailfin Tang
Orange Spotted Diamond Goby

All are small to medium in size. I've had the Flame Angel, Wrasse, and Goby for almost 18 months and they made the trip over to the new 120G.

In the next month, I'd like to add a Copperband Butterfly. I know they're finicky eaters and aren't considered totally reef-safe but I love their looks. I also have a Royal Gramma coming any day now.

Can anyone offer some suggestions as to additional fish I should consider? I figure I only have capacity for 3 or 4 more beyod the current 7 and I want to get the most of of my remaining options. TIA!

3 fish I really like are Powder Blue tang said:
These fish are all awesome, however, you may want to do some research or ask around to people who have owned these fish before. With the exception of the Mandarin, these fish are very tough to keep happy. If your tank has been established for a while now, and has a high pod population, then a mandarin may be ok. Although, I notice that you do have a six line wrasse, it probably diminishes the population of pods by itself. Good luck deciding.

Powder Blues are cool but hard to keep. Achilies tangs are even worse. but I would love to have both. I tried a powder blue and it lived for 7 mnths then started an ick break out and never recover'd.

Try a Powder Brown OR Gold Rim tang. Naso's are cool too but you have a 120 gal and most would say that's not enough room.

A Purple Tang is nice also. But tangs also give off alot of waste so that's something to think of also.

I have a unicorn tang they are cool as the change colors to blend in if they get scared. I also have a niger trigger he is reef safe got him when he was little juvenile. Now he is prob almost 6 inches now and does not go after any of my shrimps, clams or corals. He is cool he will let me feed him krill with feeding tongs. Definetly not shy. Six line wrasse are cool too. Fish gallery had a sale on them. He is funny as he will grab some krill then go hide in the live rock to munch away

I like the comical look of bicolor blenny, the beauty of midas blenny and the mouth of yellow eye kole tang, these fish will keep rock free of algae. :)

I vote for blue throat trigger. He'll get pretty big so don't add any more fish. This will give your reef another dimension and will be a perfect last addition.

I've gotta say, I wasn't thrilled by the Kole when Scott brought him home, but he's grown on me. Personality, and a winsome way of glancing out of those yellow-rimmed eyes. I like that he also holds his own against MrsTomato when it's time to feed him some nori ;)

I think any of the Thalassoma wrasses are very cool. When I lived in Florida I caught a Blue Head Rainbow Wrasse diving off Sombrero Reef. I kept him for several years in a 200 gallon NSW tank. Coolest fish I ever kept. They have loads of personality, but get pretty big.
I wanted to ask if you've had any problems with your Sixline Wrasse eating your invertebrates? Like you wanting a Copper Banded Butterfly because you love their look even though you know they are not reef safe. I want a Lunare Wrasse, although I’m sure it will eat all my snails and possibly even my Hermit Crabs. If your Sixline hasn’t been too much trouble you might want to consider one of these. It would be my next fish if I had a bigger tank.
Cortez Rainbow Wrasse
Pending more research, I'm considering his smaller and more affordable cousin here:
My Next Fish

Lunare Wrasse will eat snails, shrimps, hermit crabs and if you happen to have clams in you tank, it will eat them too in no time, been there.

i like the vlamingi tang. Awesome creature but get up to two feet long.

Tri's favorite fish is the Blue hippo tang. Of course there are now six of them in the tank.
