[Nice. I like the green Montipora digitata. Did you have any hassles at the airport with them?

BTW, Welcome home. :)]

[No problems at all with American Airlines. I was very very clear that this was alive and needed to be handled very delicately. I did request that my shipping box be placed in the hard plastic rubbermade containers to luggage wouldn't beat up my box, but that didn't occur. Still, it was inspected closely and then I marked it Fragile on all the tape. I was hoping they'd read the markings because it was 'fresh' on the tape vs a box with writing.

Anthony Patrick's box came off the belt leaking water out the side, and all his corals were rushed home and dunked into the tank rapidly to avoid total loss. Another guy bought 12 pieces at MACNA (his name is Kip) and I think he said all but 4 bags burst and he too had issues.

I'll be doing a write up about MACNA, but I've got to figure out how to do so diplomatically. :rool eyes:]

[That yellow-green Humilis is sweet, looks bright orange in the pic. I really like the light blue milli too. Maybe one day I could get a frag:)]

[In the past I've not shared any SPS because I was working with such tiny pieces in tiny tanks. Taking away any would make them look mangled and my tank simply wouldn't look good.

However, with the larger tank, I'm sure fragging will become common place - but surely that will be six months to a year from now. Your best bet is to show up at Peter's with ziplock baggies and puppydog eyes. :lookaround:]

[Marc - You are too funny. I have a pom puppy now - so I already have a pair of puppy eyes to look at whenever I want.

I'm looking for yellow sps. The problem I had is that yellow sps usually turned bright green after a few months.]

[You're right. This is the same kind I bought 2 years ago that turned green in my 29g under PC lighting. I doubt this one will be this color a month from now.

Rick, Steve, Anthony, Keith and others.... what did you bring home?]

[I have some yellow humilis peter,,, :) Im not going to be able to make the meeting though,, but you can see the sample at the fish galery,, the far end of their SPS tank, their is 2 of my pieces their ,, bright yellow, their lights are turning it green though,,, lemme try this photobucket pic..

[Boy Marc did you disappear Sunday! We never saw you after about noon. I brought home a few small corals totalling about $70 worth!! :;): Isn't that right Keith?? Overall I had a great time. Hey Anthony when am I going to see what was in that box?? I was so pissed I was not around there when they started selling the stuff that was in that tank. But I did manage to get a couple. :eyebrows:]

[By the way Marc, you were right. We were supposed to have paid to get in that fragging room. Oh well, I see you went to the Sunday afternoon one.]

[Rick, I was so busy Sunday afternoon! Right before noon, I went with Kip to the zero-clearance tank to see what Walt Smith stuff was available. That was about the time "The WB" started filming for a television spot. Gavin was bagging up two large orders (12 to 15 pieces each) and we had to wait forever. It was only after Anthony got his box that I found out he bought my little Golden Maxima clam, the one on the side of the Acropora. :very angry: Oh well, I'm sure he'll take good care of it.

I had to go man the MASNA booth for a while during lunch, but after about 10 minutes I realized I had to check out and get my stuff into the luggage closet. Then I met up with several people and headed out to the tent to get some pictures of Dr Mac's pieces. I ended up getting 4 pieces there. Then back up to Gavin to get 2 more.

I got to attend the workshop because Kip had bought two tickets, so I used one of his. I'm going to base our workshop on that one because it was excellent. I brought home 3 or 4 frags from that workshop, all SPS.

I blew off the raffle - partially because the price per ticket annoyed me and partially because I really don't need anything at this point. So you didn't see me there. I was all over the place until 5:30pm. At that point, I took the shuttle to the AA terminal for my 7:15pm flight. My corals were checked as luggage, and as you read above - they did fine.

I almost bought one of the Teardrop Clams from Vietnam, but the mantle was wrinkled and I just didn't trust it. At $75, it just seemed to big a gamble. I'll get a new clam from Barry in the near future.

Post some pictures of your new acquisitions, please. :smart:]
