New Australian orange anchor coral and cool Octopus Addition

Went shopping at the local fish stores this past weekend and picked up a few goodies. One of them was this orange Ausse wall hammer. I thought I would share. I hope it colors up some more in a couple of months. I have seen some flourscent orange ones on internet, but I guess they are hard to find.

No problem. I have been looking around to see what color they actually change. I also got a cool octopus coral anchor that I will post a picture of later.

I've got one of the orange hammers, though its not the wall variety, its more of a skeletonized one with ridges etc. Much like you see with bubble corals, razor like ridges. Mine likes low alternating flow and is about half way up under my T-5's. It has developed a deeper orange with green on the sides and tips of the polyps. Quite a pretty coral...

The octopus is a type of frogspawn and also does well in similar conditions. Yours looks a little stressed, but will darken up and really shine once its happy.

Yes the orange wall hammer was in good condition when I bought it, the octopus coral was not. It was sucked in the skeleton and had a little gelly in there. It has been steadly working its way out, and I cant wait to see what it looks like in about a month or so.

They seem to not ship well, but since its been in my tank for a while...it has been getting better each day and coming out further. My tank has lots of flow and plenty of light so after it gets healthy I will move it up to some expensive realestate. All of my LPS love the high flow.
