New 37 gallon reef cycling - Lights on? how long?

[getting a new 37 reef started. placed the live sand, and live rock on saturday. most of the rock was cured, with a few 'almost' cured pieces. added turbostart saturday too. have an outer orbit light overhead. been running actinics for 6 hours a day, and halide for 1. just started skimmer (ac remora) tonight (monday). when/how should i bump up the light exposure?]

[There is no need to rush the lighting with only LR in there during a cycle. I'd leave it be. In three weeks, you can start extending the lighting period to what will be full day periods.

I keep my lights on 11 hours a day, with the MH on 10 hours a day. They come on in a staggard pattern, as if the sun was rising and lighting the tank more and more, and then shut off as it is setting in the west.

As you increase your lighting, you can simply add 15 minutes more to each light, each day until after a few weeks you are running them all day long.]
