New 240 RR tank isnt level

I have a 1/2 inch drop on the right side of newly filled tank. Before I go any further, I'm just wondering if I need to drain and level. Pic attached shows the level side and the right currently is level with the grates.

What's going to happen with the sump having the tank unlevel?

I would drain it and level it. It will make your dual overflows more efficient and take the added stress off the tank end that is holding the most. Lot's of time, unlevel stands are due to uneven floors which can put undue stress on tank seams. More often than not, it's just not level and looks wrong. I know there are instances of tank failure due to unlevel tanks, but tend to think it is more of a cosmetic issue unless you have dual overflows like yours.

Drain and level it! 240 gallons is a large tank to be unleveled. Can cause stress cracks . Get you some chimms from Home Depot or Lowes and a 48" level. It shouldn't be a hard thing to do. I actually leveled my 210 half full. Make sure you level from end to end and front to back. Good luck!

I've got a friend here with some extra trash cans; so the draining and leveling will occur tomorrow night.

Thanks for the input!

My house is on a downhill grade and when I set up the first tank, I found that the entire house is tilted in the opposite direction of the grade. Very strange.... Where I will set a 180g (or maybe larger), I am going to have a contractor come in and cut the carpet away, and place a leveled tile floor(3"x11"). My initial quotes are in the $300 to $400 range. Not a bad price compared to the price of a tank as large as I want to put there....

Just my 2 cents....

the tank was leveled last night :)

Topped off with RO/DI water at 9:45 :)

Then....I learned what dursopipes are for and why morons should not be allowed to build their own drainpipes. LLLOUD draining.

Building dursos today....
