Hi All,
Thought I would share some pics of our newest project here at the house. My wife and I decided to convert our 150G Cichlid tank over to SW. This will be our 2nd SW tank. The first is a corner 92. After some research, several trips to the LFS we opted to jump in and get started. The tank will be located in our entry area which is right next to the living room. Really cool place for a tank because the area is elevated. It's also a really bad place for a tank because we have no place to put support equipment like pumps.
Equipment list so far:
Pumps - 2 Life Guard Quite 1 4000
Sump - Eshopps RS-200
Skimmer - Eshopps S-200
CPR Deluxe Overflow 1200gh
Tunze Stream 6065
Lighting - Wave Point 36" 4 Bulb

Given the location of the tank and the fact that it is sitting on a rock pedestal we didn't have any place for the pumps, sump, etc so we had to build a box. The tank is about 6 ft from the TV so I am hoping it is somewhat quite. We might have gone a little overboard on the box. It's built from 2x4 & 3/4" sanded plywood. When the box lid is finished it will have cut outs for the hoses so the lid can be removed without taking the hoses out. Also the box is over-sized so we can put in a small ATO tank and also it can serve as an end table next to the couch (depending upon how loud it is).

The thing that is killing me right now are the return lines. I don't like the fact that they can be seen so I am thinking of sliding the tank away from the wall a little and putting the return jets across from the overflow. What I'm not sure about is is the separation will be enough.

Anyway any advice and/or thoughts are welcome. Looking to have water in the tank this weekend and get live rock and substrate in it.
This one will most likely be an angel tank as our other is a tang.
