New 120

Not really a tank log as it was just an upgrade from my 75, but I guess this forum is close to the right place to post, if not, MODs feel free to move it.

I wanted some pics of the tank I just got from Haven, it's a 120, I'm running a 30" trigger sump and a 150 gallon (not sure of the model number) but trigger skimmer. I have 3 koralias, 2 push about 1000 gph, the other 740. My return is a mag. 9.5 (thanks Mike), lighting is 23 cool white and 23 blue 3w cree LEDs, 8 royal blue, 2 reds. Dosing with a magnus bubble doser

Tank looks really nice. I like that chalice, mummy eye?

WOW! I like it. Lots of hard work paid off!

Time for more fish, some anthias would look really good in there.

Thanks! and yes, its a Mummy-eye. I traded it from a guy who bought it from Anton as a Tyree, in an indirect kind of way I suppose I can say it has lineage (but I haven't confirmed it with Anton yet)

That it did, 10Q and Haven for that! Definitely more fish, I should have snuck in a few so the purple tang wouldn't have time to get aggressive yet in her new environment. In a couple days, she'll call it her tank and have to approve all new occupants

She will be fine with some lyretail or bartletts anthias. Maybe a firefish or two. I also have found a real fondness for Haven's chalk basslets. It took them a while but they are always out and swimming looking for food now.

BTW, when we left you with the tank, it was far too cloudy from the new sand to even think about what the rock work might look like. You have done a fantastic job with it and coral placement. And yes, that was even after two hours of rinsing 80lbs of SeaFlor special sand!

Looks nice and looks like the upgrade went very smoothly . . . always a good thing. Glad to hear the return pump is working out well. I'll be interested in hearing how new tankmate introductions go as my Purple Tang also rules the roost.

That chalice is impressive. I would have tried to talk TJ off of it but I could tell it was one of his prized pieces and for good reason! You should see it in person.

And for any of you that watch Duck Dynasty, "Happy, Happy, Happy."

Great job on the rock work and coral placement, TJ. It looks great. It was a pleasure working with you yesterday. I hope you enjoy the tank.

TJ looking good!

You might look into getting a nano wavebox to stick on the opposite side next to the overflow if it will fit. I think since you're doing mostly SPS your flow will be better off with a wavebox.

I don't see my blue stag you got from me. If you lost it let me know and I'll cut you another piece.

I'll check out the wavebox, if nothing else maybe set up my controller to wave. The blue tort is doing well, it's behind the purple stylo/porc. (it's been called both)

I had a tunze nano wave box in that exact place. I have been planning to sell it as I am not using it on the new tank.

Pull out the checkbook TJ!"]

The checkbook is like Old Mother Hubbard's Cubbards, it is bare [smilie=rofl.gif] The SPS will just have to be happy with flow and lots of it for now
