Guys and Gals.

I am at a crossroads.

I need to get my new 120 in it's final resting position before I shim and level the stand, (as necessary) and start designing and installing plumbing.

However, I am not sure about the back of the tank.

It's the AGA 120G 4x2x2 with the Twin Megaflows.

Are folks generally still painting the backs of their displays ? If so, can I just Krylon it, or is there a better paint product for this purpose ?

I am thinking about doing a gradient of blue to black starting at the top, and working my way to total black by the bottom.

Just for a change of pace.

I went with black krylon on my tank. I believe I put down 3 to 4 light coats to cover the back of my tank and used up one full can.

that gradient sounds interesting. take some pics if you do go that route.

i usually just get some paint from walmart and tape off the edges and roll it on clean seams plus it coats very well and no over spray

I have the same tank and I am just a couple of weeks away from doing this as well. I am going black vinyl.
2 pieces @ 7.25" x 23.0" Sides
1 piece @ 17.0" x 23.0" Middle
This will cost be about 25 dollars in vinyl.
Pros- easliy removeable/replaceable, No scraping.
Cons- Not easily applied with out getting bubbles. (there are tricks though)

Anyway, that is my .02

EDIT: Never mind, I just read that you wanted gradient blue to black.

As you were.

After going by Franks today, I think I am going to just velcro on some of the Black Plastic Poster Board material..

Looked good on his 120 in front of the door...
