Nems hosting Clowns

Hey everyone, just wanted to know if anyone knew some good tips and tricks to getting your NEM to host your clown? Besides hoping and wishing. Yesterday I purchased a NEM from a member, it was a GBTA with red tips. When I took it home I put him in a one gallon bucket filled with my tanks water. Then I went fishing for one of my two clowns, once I caught one about an hour later I put him in the bucket with the NEM. I was patient for about two minutes and twenty seven seconds.

I kinda pointed him in the right direction, by not letting him go anywhere but the NEM. When he finally brushed against it he kinda did a double take, like what was that. Then a little bit more until he was rubbing his whole body in it. But as soon as I would stop guiding him with the net he would swim away. So I helped him find it again. Finally he did not need my help. So I figured I would put the NEM in my tank and my clown would find it. Wrong! When my clown was back in he went to his spot.

So I had to guide him back to the NEM, this time as soon as he had seen it he went right into it as if for protection. I kept the net in front of the NEM for about five minutes once I removed the net my clown stayed in his new home. He has been in and out all day, I am hoping my other clown will follow soon. I guess it took him a little bit because he is tank raised so he had no idea what was going on. There is no sight better than watching your NEM host your clown. Im glad I get to see that :D

I tried to lure my clowns in... First I put some garlic drops in the water... Get'em looking for food... I then placed a small chunk of freeze-dried brine shrimp in the middle of my rbta... all the other fish realized what was surrounding the food and stayed away... My clowns on the other hand dove in, realized what was what, and haven't left it since... Except to attack my hand when I'm cleaning things...

I was very fortunate. I have two clowns in my 70G, a small maroon and a PITA tomato.

When I placed the nem in the tank, it was just a ball with all of the tentacles pulled. I think it was like 10 seconds before the maroon started to bury itself into the ball.

I was ectastic. I love my maroon.

Within about 10 minutes the nem was wide open and the maroon was as happy as a clam.

5 minutes later, the tomato took over the nem.

So I put another one in on the other side of the tank.

The tomato has claimed that one too.

Who has that fish trap right now?

Yeah my little clown was the first to discover/get forced into my NEM. And now the larger one has taken over and does not want to share. Should I just let them work it out by themselves? I was thinking of putting another NEM in the tank, but I am not sure.
