Need Some Advice on Sick Powder Blue Tang

Just Picked this fish up Fri. It was a nice BLue and Sat morning it was losing color now it looks really bad. What can I treat it with? I have it in a nano with a rock and maybe a few snails... Any Advice would be great Thank you
 
Looks like ich, but I'm no expert. Pm "Matt" he is the pro. I know you have to quarantine and treat for weeks. Search "ich"
 
Thanks... I had it for 3 days and I have been wanting one of these Tangs for a while LOVE the coloring... My husband bought stuff to treat ICH and Velvet so now we have it on hand..
 
one thing too, did you make sure he was eating at the store and did he have any sign of ich there? if he isnt eating or if he even shows a little stress at the store i wouldnt get him. also, if you have a nano a tang will probably always be stressed and hard to keep. this fish especially, they are known for being hard to keep. the store probably should have advised this, maybe time to shop somewhere else i hate to say.
 
I had it in a 55 gallon at first then moved it... When I got the fish it had arrived at 4pm and was still in the bag it was shipped in.. I never saw it eat and when I got it home it did eat. Im guessing I may have done something wrong. All my other fish are fine and my zoa's are fine.
 
Definitely not a fish to be bought out of a bag...see it swim and eat in a tank at the store and on this one I would even check on it a couple times at the store. Go Friday and come back Sunday or Monday to make sure it is still doing ok. If you have a qt set up then bag service is fine for some fish, but not these. Sorry for your loss, better luck next time!
 
i just had this happen to my tank , and all my fish died from velvet ! ... show powder blue tang , show pair of naso tangs , a show queen trigger fish , lion fish ..... everything died , i have zero fish now [smilie=crying.gif] 600+ worth of fish gone !! ... this parasite sucks ,
