I have a sea grass tank that I believe requires a near sunlight source. I have been using a Ushio 14k bulb but that is not working, at least I can't tell that it does. I need a good quality bulb that will hold its spectrum with a high PAR value. Probably no one puts in this color.
My other option would be to put in a 10,000k bulb for at least white light.
For freshwater plants I have had success with ATI's blue plus, GE 3000k, and IceCap 12,000k.
The shoal grass is what I most want to grow although there is a turtle grass sprig in there also. Shoal grass is a shallow growing grass that gets high intensity light within 12" of the surface so its not used to blue light although I am sure a high PAR value lamp would be desirable.
