Need help switching to T-5 From MH

Well i cant seem to afford Halides anylonger (heat and bill.) So I was wondering how many T-5's would be needed. I am going to use workhorse ballast's as a WH-8 can run 5 3ft (39W) bulbs or a WH-7 can run 4. I am going to get rid of all my sps with the exception of my monticaps and posibly my digitatas. So mainly just softies and LPS. The nem i have may go or stay depending on how it does. So far i have been thinking 12 T-5's(4 actinics 4 12k's and 4 17k's) the bulbs i can afford are the cheap odyssea ones if that makes a difference. The tank is 84x24x30 standard LxWxH 265. Any advice would be helpfull.

I'm able to keep all SPS in my 90g corner tank that is 30" deep with my 6 bulb config Tek T5 system.

I also have 3 RBTA that thrive and split about every 6 months. You should be fine if you could do like a TEK retrofit. It really depends on your reflectors and bulbs.

I have a chiller, but just run a fan right now. You could possibly find a Tek setup, or trade for one. Good Luck!
