Need help - Salinity/SG

I had my water tested with a refractometer at a LFS today. The SG read 1.032. My hydrometer reads 1.026 and all other tests with hydrometers match my readings.

My dilema is obvious.

I live in Euless at the intersection of 121 and Cheek-Sparger. Is there anyone in the area with a calibrated refractometer that can check my salinity?

Thx,
Ron

Put a drop of RO water on your refractometer. SG should be at zero. If it isn't, calibrate it with the little screwdriver that came with it.

I'll trust a refractometer over a swing arm hydrometer any day.

I'll second the recommendations to get yourself a refractometer...

If you follow this URL you can get one from Drs. Foster and Smith for $34.99...

Oh, and if you're willing to bring a sample of your water to Rowlett, I'd be more than willing to check your salinity in my refractometer... But it'd prolly cost you enough in gas that you could get a refractometer with the gas money... :)
