Nanocustoms 5.6 LED Retro Kit BioCube 29

Last night I installed the led kit.
So far I am happy with it.
The install was much easier than the website states because the ballast box is already installed.

$400.
When you consider the lower power bill and no changing lights for 5 to 7 years, it seems worth it.
Over the next week, I'll start acclimating corals to it.

There are separate controls for the blue leds and the white leds.
If I want dim features, I would need to upgrade the drivers.

Can you get that kit for the 14g BioCubes? That seems like a really nice kit! You will have to keep us updated on how the corals do in it.

Looks great! I'm wondering if you have any issues with strips of light on the bottom of the tank since the lights are in strips.

Yes, they do have a 3 strip kit for the biocube 14.
I cannot tell that the lights are in strips. Even when only the blues are on (blue/white/blue/white/blue configuration).
Right now, I am in the process of seeing how sps reacts to the leds.

Start the SPS on the sand and with maybe 4 hours of light. My custom LED(24 crees) biocube 29 burnt half my SPS up in a day and they were on the sand with normal light cycle. (8.5hrs)

I still am having trouble adding new SPS to my tank, however the stuff that did adapt has grown very quickly.

I will shorten my light cycle.
What SPS did acclimate to your leds?
Once acclimated to the bottom, were you able to move them up?
Thanks for the info.

acros, millis, birdsnest, digis, montis. Montis were all toast and didn't make it, i'm going to try again soon by starting them under a rock over hang. Birdnest did fine and was moved up high actually. acros and millis started low for a week and slowly moved up, they lost their color but are regaining it. Digis have been by far the most successful, week to acclimate and moved up to middle upper level and are growing fast.
