Nanocube 12g DX Surface Skimmer

Hi all,

Wondering if there is a trick to keeping the surface skimmer in place on my daughter's 12g nanocube? Seems like the thing falls off every day. Kind of a hassle to fish the thing out all the time. Is there any way to make it more stable? Any clips or anything that might help?

Mine stays in place by itself. I also upgraded my return pump to a maxijet 900. It pretty much sucks right on.

Even when I ran the stock pump, it didn't seem to have a problem.

Hmm. I have a MJ900 on it. Weird. There is a lot of flow in the tank. I wonder if something else is going on. I left a sponge in the first chamber, with the carbon, while it was cycling. I'm about to get rid of it, though. I wonder if the sponge might be partially covering the intake.

That could be it. I run filter floss and a heater in the first chamber, lr rubble and chaeto in the second and just a pump in the third.
