nano cube 12 dx lighting problems

i am getting a nanocube 12 dx and the lights and fans dont work.... just trying to collect the possibilities.... the owner i am buying it from said their husband thinks its the starter.... so what do you all think..
 
idk if they end up not im going to try to get a new replacement hood. but they said that they got the lights to come on once then once they got turned off they didnt
 
+1 on the LEDs. If you decide you want to keep the PC's I'll sell you a complete 12G setup with working lights for $60. [smilie=lol.gif]
 
I have a brand new 12g JBJ DX ballast. It has never been used. I don't really know what these go for ... so just PM me an offer if you end up needing it.

I retrofit one of my nanos using a Unique LED retrofit kit and I've been pleased with it. It does run my tank around 80-81 consistently though. My coral don't seem to mind.
 
I did a Aquastyles Kit on my 28 and really like it. I did the 24 LED kit for $100 bucks. You'd only nee the 14 Kit for the 12 Gallon. Its $70
