[Put them in spots where they can't flip over. Like rock crevices and ledges. Keep up with them because they might be a little 'off' since they were just shipped. As they settle in, things should be better.]

[Tim... same with mine. Flipped up on their backs but alive this morning.

The hermits I got are moving all around and look to be right side up :) But not the snails.

Also same on water.. my anemones are doing great as is everything else.. but not the snails.]

[Lemme know. Not a big loss which is good. I expected a loss of some so no biggie.

Lights out. and I checked on them. Appears a few have uprighted themselves.. not sure. But I do have a few on the glass and rocks and a few still overturned. Should have counted earlier but I didn't so I am not sure if I have less still playing confused.]

[Snails will be the first to show you when something is not right. My experience matches with what Marc Daniels said. After my crash and tank re-start last year, I had a ton of something leaching from my rock, no doubt absorbed from all of my dying corals during the crash. Although the corals that were left looked good, I could not keep many snails alive. The ones I would set on the rock would soon flip themselves over. It was a few more months before things stablized, and things were fine after that.

Did you have snails living in the tank when you added these new ones?]

[Nitrite MUST be 0. You should try retesting that one.]

[The answer is....... Turbo Snails are stupid. They fall off of what they are on. Fall on their backs and can't get up. After awhile a Hermit or two or three finds a dinner

Reefs are not for the weak]
