My new stuff from the LFS

Picked these up today. I think they are pretty. Can't wait to watch them color up. I think I am officially bitten by the SPS bug. Feel free to try to ID them and point out any obvious problems. Does the last one look ok? I'm paranoid about red bugs.

angela, did you dip the corals before you put them in your tank? i would definitely consider doing so if you want to keep sps in the long run. red bugs and acro eating flat worms are pretty much invisible to the naked eye especially if you take them out the water; they'll hide in the coral when out of water.

Please let me know a recipe for this dip. Should I treat them all with interceptor prior to putting them (or new ones that I get) in the tank? I have flatworm exit.

Thanks
Angela

hey angela, here is a recipe.
i mixed 5 pumps of TMPCC and 10 drops of kents lugols into a 1000ml pyrex measuring cup, then dip for 30-45 mins. after that, rinse the frag off in a container of tank water.

this is pretty general. it seems that everyone does something a little different from everyone else.

the best bet to keep any nasties out of your tank is to dip in conjunction w/ a qt tank; that's if you have the room.

I agree with Vinh.
Once you get flat worms in you tank it is one big headache.
Play it safe and qt all sps before you put it in you tank.

For red bug treatment, you may want to get some interceptor and treat it. I would never add any sps corals without treating the coral for red bugs (interceptor) and using lugol to get rid of flat worm eating acros.
