My new mantis shrimp.

Well, I went and picked her up Saturday from a fellow forum member. She is a Gonodactylaceus Ternatensis and is a little over 4". Her colors are awesome (though it's hard to tell in this pic) and it's very cool to watch her. You can tell that she's checking you out while you are watching her. She's a deep green color with red stripes at her segments and a crazy baby blue pattern on her front claws. Anyway, she seems to be adapting very well to her new home and I'm happy that I got it.....(so far)

I would suggest it. I had been thinking about it for a while and I'm super psyched that I finally did. Very cool pet.

Hey Mwil3,

Can you tell us about the setup you have for the mantis shrimp? Tank, lights, filter, feeding...etc? I was thinking about making my 5.5 into a mantis tank. Just need input on lights, filter..etc.

Thanks!
