My new dendrophylia.

Here are some pics of my new dendro. I got it from Plano pets for a good price. Much less than the $50 dollar a polyp price I have been hearing about from everyone. It has four heads.

Here it is with my normal sun coral in the background.

Very cool! I like sun and dendro, but I don't trust myself to feed them often enough. Best of luck with the new addition! :D

Verrrrry pretty. Nice piece. I haven't been there yet. Could you give me directions from hwy. 635, 20 and 175 area? Would like to go and have a look around.

75 North to Spring Creek exit. Spring Creek west to Alma Dr and it is on the southeast corner of Spring Creek and Alma. I would also suggest checking out Exotic Aquatics cause it is a nice store just down the road.

Beautiful coral! Shame they are so expensive.

BTW - if you are looking these up make sure you use a 'Y' and not an 'I'. Especially when doing an image search.

Excuse me while I go wash my eyes out :?

Those are pretty cool here is what I picked up from Plano Pets on Saturday. Lots of the LFS are missing out right now because Plano Pets is about $10 to $20 less on their corals plus gives DFWMAS a 20% discount!

Coco worms are a little more low maintenance and still look good too.

Plano Pets has had some really nice deals lately. It's almost depressing to see how much corals are going for in other stores. Oh, and beautiful coral by the way!

Chris, thank you for the directions.. I deffinately hear my name being called to the Plano area. I have to go over and check this place out. I like what I'm reading from all of you re: less expensive, better discount, nice corals, gosh how much better can it get? I have to hurry and get my bigger tank set up. Hurry, hurry, hurry.

I have got over to Exotic Aquatics a few times and I sure do like what they have done in the front of their store. The tanks they have for displaying their corals in is really nice and clean looking.

so what's the difference between a dendrophylia and a sun coral? I'm guessing they're very closely related based on their appearances.

They are both in the same family but the dendro is a much bigger polyp like the size of a thumb. They also stay out more than the sun coral does.
