My LTA ate my yellow clown gobie (darnit)

I don't have a clown yet as I am waiting to get one from one of the members on here. Although they had resided in the same tank for the last month, my LTA ate my yellow clown gobie, before then, he had not gotten really close to it. However, the LTA had just moved behind the rocks to the side of the aquarium, one of the places my gobie used to travel to get to another 'hang out' spot in the tank. Darn it. Do they have a habbit of doing things like that?

Unfortunately, that's a day in the life of an anemone. They are opportunistic feeders that will eat just about any fish that get too close, save for clowns and some other damsel varieties.

Once I get a clown and they happen to host together, will the clown keep any other fish from getting too close? Also, once it is hosted, will the anemone keep moving around?

Unfortunatly no and possibly. I just lost my Leopard Wrasse to my Carpet Nem. I have 2 False Percs. hosting that are getting pretty big and territorial. However that is no guarentee from a Nem getting a easy lunch. This isn't the first fish either. It got a Yellow Tang about 6 months ago. Not to mention a number of snails. As far as moving around, yes they like to find a place and plant themselves, but any thing can set of an exploration for a new home. ie Change the flow just a little or add/move a rock that changes the current, or something in the lighting.
