My clown doesnt see my anemone

Ok folks, I wouldnt say im a rookie, but im far from comfortable still. I have a 75g reef tank with very little livestock still (taking it slow)..

now for the question.. I just got a young percula clown and a pink rose bubble tip anemone.. my clown hasnt quit swimming at the glass and my anemone finally got settled about halfway under a small rock.. HOW DO I GET THE CLOWN TO NOTICE THE ANEMONE?? i dont think he has even explored the rest of the tank other than the glass.. any suggestions??

I have had a pair of percs and a rose in the same tank for about 2 months, and they ignore eachother, sometimes its pretty quick but sometime it takes a long time, if ever.

at my LFS when i got the two, there were a pair of clowns hosting this same anemone.. and then i got this clown that was in the tank next to it since i didnt want the pair (one of the clowns didnt look good and i didnt want to split up the pair).. so you dont think he will host it?? if not then i guess ill try and find a green tip..

what all do you have in the tank? my LFS guy has a clown that tries to host a brain coral.. he literally beats himself up trying to get on it.. so should i just let nature take its course?? also does it take a while for the clowns to start exploring the tank or is mine just a special kind of fella that doesnt have all his brain cells??

I had tank raised (still do) black clowns and gave them some popcorn and a movie one afternoon...I took a video of 2 black clowns hosting in a SRBTA put it on my laptop and put the laptop on a stand over the SRBTA. It works. They didn't host at first, or so I thought, one night when just the moonlights were on I noticed them in there but they were out the next day. After a week they figured they could host during the day time also

Patience

ok so im going to try the movie.. also does it sound right for my clown to stare at himself in the reflection of the glass?? for some reason i feel he lost a mate somewhere along the way and is looking for it.. he hasnt even made his way away from the glass or top of the tank.. i feel bad for him and thought about buying another clown.. he hasnt been in there long so i assume he hasnt started claiming territory.. does this sound right??

when I've had one of a particular breed and I introduce another of the same breed I've not had a problem, having said that, clowns can be most territorial. It's probably good that he is not hosting yet so their wouldn't be a battle for the 'nem. Even with my pair, before I had 2 'nems the female would kick the male out and not let him in [smilie=rofl.gif] I guess females rule the world

well last night i turned out all my lights for bed and when i came back in this morning, my nem decided to hide between two rock so that i can barely see him.. now im afraid my clown may never find it.. this has been such a frustrating process with these two.. they seemed so close when i bought them.. and now the clown doesnt care it exists.. :(

I have 4 anemones in my tank, 2 rose bta, a green, and a maxi mini and my pair doesn't even noticed any... they like hanging in the corner of the tank. Some clowns are just that way so I let them be.

how big is your tank?? 4 nems sounds like a lot.. do you have any problem with them stinging your corals? said:
unfortunately it's a 25g. Started out with 1 tiny rose bta which split awhile back and both are now 10x the size they were and is stinging anything within distance. I am getting a 43g tank made so hopefully they won't be in this small tank for too long. My pair of clowns are a breeding pair and they refuse to host any of the 'nem had them for awhile now too.
