My Babies are one year old today.

Today is my seahorses birthday. I raised them from babies so I am very proud of them. I have 5 that made it out of 30. They are spoiled. I set up a 70 gallon for them to live in after they were old enough to be moved out of their fry tank.

Here are some pictures.

These two are of my two males.

The first two pictures are of their tank and filter system. The last picture is of my three females and one of the males hanging around their feeding dish.

Thanks Angela. These guys are Erectus which are much easier to raise then Reidi. It sounds like you are doing well. Do you plan on keeping the ones that survive? It is easy to get attached to them. I couldn't part with any of them.

Wow that is fantastic
We are nervous parents to be, as it looks like the male is swelling up for his second brood.

Thanks for the inspiration, it is a long road to look down but that result would make it worth it.

Yes I will keep the babies if they live. I was actually setting up the 60 cube for horses when I got the babies so they will go there when they are big enough.

And I love the green acrylic on your sump. David totally spoils you. :p

They are getting big and they are not done growing yet either. My adults in the past were much bigger.

Yeah he does spoil me. He built me a custom needle wheel skimmer for the tank. It really collects some nasty stuff.

Your babies are gorgeous, as is your tank. I really love your aquascaping. It's nice and open, and interesting.

Well done! It doesn't seem like a year since they were born!

Thanks for the compliments. It is hard to believe it has been a year. They grow so quickly.

:D
That's really great. Nicki, you are so good raising erectus seahorses. Raising seahorses isn't the easiest thing but it is rewarding when you see results like yours. Congradulations!!!!!!!!!

Your tank looks really great.

Awesome Nicki! After doing such a great job taking care of those little ones anything else should be easy. OK well maybe that is really not the same thing. I hope everything else is going well.
