Mushroom Problem

I have a 58 gal with softies, lps, and a couple of sps frags. Everything is doing great. The problem is the mushrooms are doing too well. It started out as a couple on the LR when I bought it, and they are taking over. I would love it...if I were going for that look. They are starting to affect my gorgonians, and it is time I figure out how to get rid of them. They are only growing on two pieces of LR, but those two pieces happen to be the "show" pieces of LR in the tank. So, my question is, what do I do to get rid of them?

Try cutting them out with scissors, pull off all the extra pieces you can with tweezers or tongs, you could also apply some kalk paste to the attachment site to try and kill off the base, they will grow back!

That's the problem. Every time I have tried to remove them, they come back tenfold. I have even used a scalpel to scrape off as much as I could, but nothing has worked. The only other thought I have had is to remove the gorgonians and take the LR out, but I'm trying to avoid that.
