Moving an anemone?

I have a few questions about the safety of moving my anemone. I've had him in my tank for about a month now. He's been doing great, but he decided to move up into the corner of my nanocube where my return is. His foot is half on the side glass and half on the back black acrylic section of my nano. He's also mostly blocked (from the top) by my hydor rotating deflector on my return. My question is what would be the safest method of moving him? Would using an old credit card or the edge of my glass cleaner be safe? Or would that be an easy way to tear it's foot? Also, he's near the top of my tank...if I did a couple gallon water change he'd be completely out of water. Do you think it'd be easier to work him off if he was out of water? Any help would be great. It's an amazing looking anemone(neon green bubble tip with purple tips), but it's hard to enjoy hiding up there. Thanks in advance,
Mike

your best bet is to point a powerhead of some sort at him to get him to release on his own.

Well, I'm not really sure if that's a possibility considering where it's located in the tank, and the fact it's only a 12 gallon nano. I can't put one above it(no room the nem's practically flush with the top of the water), below it (I'd probably end up shooting a bunch of water out of my tank...it's open top), behind it pointing towards the front of the tank (no room it's attatched partially to that wall too), and I don't think putting one in front of it pointing towards the back of the tank...then it would just move onto the back wall, wouldn't it? I should get a picture up here so it'll make a little more since then trying to explain it. Any other tips/ideas?

Start getting the foot loose with your finger(s), opposite end of a spoon (blunt end) and you'll have him off in no time.

Take your time.

I start by trying to get him to bunch up or collapse, then I use a plastic spoon and start trying to peel the bottom of the anemone off the rock and glass. It has taken me 30 minutes to peel off a 2 inch anemone before. So take your time. You don't want to damage the anemone.
