Most popular mh "kelvin" rating? - List your bulb make and model...

[I would like to know what "Kelvin" rated bulbs everyone likes to use.

I currently run 2 250watt Ushio SE 10K's and they are very white!]
 
[My tank is a tad unique in the lighting, but I really prefer it to the way it was.

Before it was 14k - 10k - 14k plus VHO actinics
Now it is 10k - 20k - 10k plus VHO actinics

All the bulbs were 250w
Now the center bulb is 400w.

10,000K are Ushio, 20,000K is XM.

Looks great, no regrets. I can even turn off the VHOs and the tank still looks great, but I keep them on as they add 320w worth of PAR to the tank.

Oh, and I voted 10,000K as well.]
 
[A bit off topic, but has anybody tried this DIY MH setup? I am curious how much a mercury vapor ballast could possibly "overdrive" 6500K Iwasaki bulbs. Seems like it would be quite a bit yellow, but the author states it looks pretty blue to the eye.

I've been thinking about doing this myself, just not sure I want to run the risk with not caring for the color.]
 
[I have SE CoralVue 14000k...They are really nice, but a bit to blue for me, I may change them to 10k's when its time for new bulbs, we'll see how the corals look / grow with them]
 
[I voted 14k. I have 2 250W SE 14k Hamiltons and love 'em.

I also have 2 T5's (actinic and blue+) but when they are run along with the MH's, they hardly change the color at all.]
 
[I have 250W 10Ks now. I don't like them. My 12Ks were better. Growth is same/.

I'm thinking 20Ks next so I don't have to run a bunch of Atinics and more ballasts.

(just watching the meter turn faster and faster)
