[I built a new top down box to fit my camera last night, and gave it a test run. This one is smaller, rather streamlined, and allows me to access the buttons more easily.

Negative: Easier to let water into the box. I need to slope the side walls to avoid this potential risk.

Positive: The camera is mounted so I'm able to hold it as a unit and not two separate pieces in a juggling act. As Travis noted.

Here are a few shots of it:

I bought a red Goniopora from a club member two days ago, but it does look purple to me. It hasn't really opened up yet, but it is starting to check out the reef a little:

[My other Milleopora, that yesterday started to RTN. I may have saved it, but only time will tell:

This frag is an SPS with purple tips. It has been knocked down to the substrate several times, but has continued to keep its color. It has to be a hardy coral!

That's all I got, for now.... :D]

[Marc,
Where did you get the little frag,(second from the last) the one you said was so tough? Do you know from what kind of colony it came or did you just pick up that frag?]

[A guy I've known from rec.aquaria.marine.reefs came over to buy an RO/DI unit and brought me two frags. This was one of them. He told me it wasn't doing much in his tank, but it has been pretty happy in mine.

Why, do you recognize it? Is there a great story about this coral? :D]

[No, just wondering if you knew what it was? I will interested in seeing it after it grows out a little more.]

[Me too! I get slower growth that most, it seems. However, I did notice the m.cap has done nicely since the last picture posted. I'll find the other one and the date and post the comparison in this thread.]

[The color is slightly different, but that is because one is a front shot and the other is a top-down shot.

Here it is on 11/18:

30 days later, here it is again:
