More Questions about bubbles

It seems like I have an large amount of bubble from my drain. Anyone have some thoughts on how I can elimate or even cut back the amount of bubbles?
I thought I had pics of the sump complete, but I don't if I need to take one to better show how it is plumbed I can do that...

Thanks

Can't really see from the pic, but If you don't have a filter sock on the drain, that would definitely get rid of the bubbles. Or at least reduce them. You might have to replumb that drain to that top hole in your sump !! Easy fix.

Looks like your dumping the water really deep below the surface you could shorten the drain pipe in the sump some. Should be a few inches below surface not at bottom. Also like was said above socks work great or you can build a bubble trap and put some rubble rock in it. If its a fairly new setup and hasnt been running long the pipes need time to slime up some too.

Thats all i can think of unless your return pump is too strong? [smilie=wink.gif]

also your return pump gph makes a difference. if you rum less gph through the sump and have more internal circ it works good with small sumps especially. BUt yes you will need a 100 micron filter sock or if you are "marc" you want a tower of rubble inside a chamber with holes in the sides near the bottom instead of the filter sock so no critters are filtered out or waste is trapped for to long. I just use filter socks and wash them regularly you need at least two so you can alternate them. Casey
