Well me and a group of friends have been trying to get our hands on a few frags of setosa, our luck has been nil. I would love to see some nice pics of colonies/frags and please add lighting info. Pm if you have some frags. I want to see if the red vs orange is a lighting change or a completely different strain of coral. Thanks in advance. [smilie=smile.gif]

I have a setosa. Got it at farmers market a few years ago as a tiny piece. It is orange. I have 14k 150w hqi and T5s(50/50).
Not really interested is selling any, but will trade for a chalice, nice zoanthid or an encrusting monti. I break pieces off all the time.

I have a purple w/green rim, the eyes vary from green to yellow depending on light. Lemme know, they are full tile frags and very healthy. I would love 2 nice frags, lemme know.

I know it is well after the fact but I wanted to thank you again, the setosa is looking great. Hope to see some of that chalice for sale in you facility some day. Thanks again

Very happy on this end of the trade!
Nice looking chalice! And thanks for the donation, I plan to add chalices to the farm this fall.

Maybe somewhat off topic, but, does anyone else's setosa do this? Ever since I have had it (about 4 years now), it gets huge, then a large part of it undergoes what looks like RTN or STN...almost the whole coral dies off except for the tips, then it mysteriously stops. Then it starts encrusting over its dead skeleton, and starts the cycle over. Flow is not an issue...it gets plenty of it, good light, and my parameters are very stable. Nothing else in my tank looks bad when it does this.

Well all of my pieces are growing well, though they aren't big enough to be called colonies yet, seems to do well. But I will probably frag it regularly as there are a lot of people in my area that want pieces. Could you post some pics, it must have an interesting growth pattern.
