Molting

So my Fire Shrimp molted last night and I now have an empty shell laying on my sand bed. It has a few snails on it. Should I remove it?

I always leave them in the tank and they disappear after a couple of days. If I remember right, they are made mostly of Calcium so it doesn't hurt to leave it until it breaks down. The great news is that if your Fire Shrimp is molting, that means he's growing. :)

Oh no give him to me before he molts again:grin: just kidding you must be doing something right...

Fantastic! They're both definitely eating and doing great! They have both molted now. I wasn't really sure what happened when the first one did. All I saw was part of the tail and claws. Thought it had died. This time it was the whole shell, claws, and whiskers. Scared me when I walked in and saw it laying there with snails on it. Glad to hear that means they're doing well.
