MJ MODS?

On two of my mods the direction of the flow keeps changing. It will start out pushing water then it will change to sucking in water. What is causing this to happen?

Mj's will spin the impeller both directions. When it starts and restarts it can go either way...

Is ther anything that can fix it? It was creating a strong suction.

there is supose to be a stopper that stops it from going the wrong direction...when i get home i will take a look at my mj mods...

Are these the new sure flows? I haven't had any problems with mine.

No they are not the new ones.

The new ones and ones that are made well have a little piece that makes it so they can go backwards. Check the DIY forum on here or reef central and you might be able to make one. Another solution is turn it off and then on until it goes the correct direction then, leave it on.

This one that you have just was not built to be on a wave maker. Actually, none of them are made to be on wave makers. The new ones have a little start up noise and can break their shafts. My shaft broke and they sent me a new one.

mine stay on. they are not on a wavemaker. Every coupld days it will switch.

That is really strange..... maybe there is something on the inside that they hit. If they hit something on way they will head he other direction.
