I just tried to put one togather with no luck. which way should the prop go? I the instruction it does not say. Also, in the kit I got extra parts not even mention in the instruction. Can some one chim in an help me.
 
Yep, the prop is on correctly.

Just make sure the shaft is centered on your shroud. The more centered, the better and quieter it runs.
 
The problem sounds like the prop is running backwards. You can test this by plugging it in test the flow, if water is not pushing out, then unplug it and plug it back in again.

From the looks of it the stop appears to be missing on the prop you have pictured. MJ pumps reverse power when each time they come on. The stop forcesd the prop to turn the right direction.
 
HEY Mark, looks like everything is on right. try pulling it out if its not pushing water and pushing it back in. this should fix the reverse. i'm setting mine up this weekend
 
I got everything working. I cut the shaft to short. I had to go to The hobby shop to get another piece of s.s. rod. The instrution on mjmods.com are not that good IMO. Thanks for yalls help
 
I am having a little trouble with the mod. When I run it on a wave maker it does not start up after shutting down. Any ideas on what is causeing this?
 
Yes the stopper is installed. Sometime it will still go in the wrong direction. Also it makes a humming noise, is this normal.?
