Microbubble

I have a Biocube 29 with a MJ1200 working as a return. For some reason it's throwing out micro bubbles. This is even with the skimmer off. I've checked the chamber it's, if anything, too still. I've tried cleaning it and redoing the return plumbing. Is this some kind of cavitation? Any suggestions short of trying another pump?

Is this a new pump, or did the problem just seem to start for no reason?

Not new. Had it on for about 6 months or so. Seemed to start for no reason the last couple weeks.

Is the blue foam block still there between the second and third chamber? That should prevent the microbubbles.

Nope. Don't have foam. But there are no bubbles in the back chamber micro or otherwise. Not real sure what's going on. I'll keep playing with it.

Might try bypassing the 90degree bend where the tubing ties into the outlet from the pump if you already haven't. It could be sucking in air at that connection somehow.

That's a thought. Any idea how I could bypass this though?
