Metal stand for 350g tank

I'm looking for a company/someone that builds powder-coated metal stands for my 96"x48"x18" reef tank . Do you know anyone in Dallas area?

Thanks

I have build stands before for my personal use and soem members here.

Just FYI, metal stand will be very expensive due to rising cost of steel. Wood is a lot cheaper..

I only use 11-12 gauge primed steel and for 350 gallon, I'd use no less than 2" square post.

It all depends how tall you want the stands to be..., for taller stands, you may need thicker and 3" square post to accomodate the length.

I can help you with the steel fabrication, just not powercoating, but I can refer you to some places that can do powdercoating for you.

wow, a 360 gal, almost a ton and a half of water. I can do it, powdercoat and all but it will be expensive. Do you at least have a concept drawing of what you want? Also how much sump /refuseium and will stand have to support that?

Thanks for the info. How much will it cost to build this metal stand w/ powder coating? Thanks. said:
For 96x48 and assume you can do with 30" tall stand, you'll be looking at at least 600 ish for the stands plus the cost of powder coating. I wish I can ofer you my service, but I am already booked up wityh tons of work as is. You may want to look at wood as well, you can build it for a lot less than 600 bucks for a wooden stands IMO.

Let's put it this way, I built a 30 x 10 Second floor addition at the shop for $ 700 lol..that's using 2x8's and 2x10 along with 3/4" plywood and 3" square post as anchor..

I wouldn't do it out of 2x4, I'd use 2x6 and 2x8 at least..

I did my 75 gallon and I used 2x6 lol...you should build it out of 2x8 with a stud supporting it every 14-18 inches or so.

I agree. metal stand is going to cost somewhere between 800-1000. 2X6 wood coated in a good epoxy would probably save you a lot.
