Massive Brittle Starfish Spawn

What would have triggered a massive mini brittle starfish spawning? On my parents 12g tank, I did a 5g water change, dropped the high salinity from 1.027 to 1.023, raised calcium with bionic and added Kent trace. At first I thought they were running up everything because I did stressed the tank till I observed them spawning and confirmed by seeing the behavior on others YouTube videos.

We also had a full moon last week. I think the two events sent them into over-drive.

I just found it interesting to witness the event. Well the tank seemed fine and happy today.
