Marshal Island Live Rock and Extra Large Sun Coral

FYI if anyone is interested I was in Neptunes Cove today and he had some very nice Marshall Island Live Rock and a VERY large show piece sun coral.

I stopped by Neptune's Cove today and bought some of the live rock. It was awesome. This store always has cool stuff at very decent prices.

It was 9.95 a lb. A little pricey, but well worth it. we bought about 9 lbs. and it's awesome looking. Our fish love it. They've been swimming in all the nooks and holes. The rock had plants on it and tons of character.

Yeah I stopped by there yesterday, picked up several new additions to my tank. Lots of good stuff at decent prices. The liverock does look good! I just did not have any room for it.

Just purchased 65lbs MI from Neptunes Cove. Got the other from Franks tank in FTW good stuff. I have a total here in this shot of about 95lbs in a 115gl tank. Bill at Neptunes says he will purchsae more as the request come in. I love this rock over half the pieces are very open through the rock. Great for just natural caves through the rock scape. I like that concept more than the solid rock more surface area for benificial bacteria.

Henry, is that some sort of background paper? The live rocks in front looks awesome.

Yep foam spray on to egg crate then glued to the glass. I'm hoping the the coraline algea blends the rock and background thats why I chose the MI rock.

very nice man, coming along great! have you put anything in it yet, damsels or such, or are ya gonna let it cycle just with live rock and sand?

.:EDIT:. LOL, you can tell i looked at the picture thoroughly, now I see at least 3 damsels...have you got a water test kit yet to start monitoring your cycle numbers?

Okay... now I can see why there has been so much buzz about MILR lately. That really does look cool. said:
I was trying to figure out, what the heck is MILR. Then I came to a realization that MILR is Marshall Island Live Rock

yea, i agree with the MILR, i was not really convinced until i saw this pic, ima have to swing by his place and see it in person, it looks nice. i really like the big cave and the nice shelf it made to put some corals later...very nice...

Yeah, the rock looks great. I bought some really unusual and beautiful rock from Mr. Li at FP for a whopping $8.00 a pound. People complain about the LFSs charging so much for good quality rock, but to me a few specialty pieces are worth it. But man, 65 pounds at nearly $10.00 a pound is a little rich for my blood. With that said, I probably WILL buy some of this, myself.
