Maroon Clown

Recently, I rearranged my tank, added an additional amount of live sand and place MH lighting on it. The maroon clown now, occassionally will "back down" to the sand and wiggle, making a small "hole" in the sand. Any reason for this?

My YS Maroon has taken up residence between my power head and the outlet from the skimmer. He will not budge no matter what I tempt him with or threaten him with. He's very bold about it, actually attacks the turkey baster if I get it too close to his little nest. He is the only Clown in the tank, but the smallest fish of five. Anyone know how I can get him to host somewhere else. He can't be getting much rest in that turbulent spot, and I'm afraid he might get sucked into the intake.

its not just nesting that they do that for its also aggrestion if i mess with my tank to much or get near his(morroon clown) cave or a new fish in the tank or really any stress on the fish he dose it he dosnt do it so much any more but did alot for a while.

My Maroon did this as well. Just like Marc says..it's normal. I eventually moved him out of the FOWLR tank into the coral tank with an annenome and as soon as he found that... I swear I could see a smile on his face (love at first site) he was in heaven.

If you have a semi-deep sand bed it can be pretty annoying. My female "wiggles" all day long, and now my 2" sand-bed against the front glass is now 4" lots of sand movement.

I am picking her up an Anemone today.

Well, I finally got my GSM away from thr power head. I bought a large frog spawn. Little Elvis has moved in. Now I may have to buy a nem to get him out of my FS.
