My son came over yesterday and we started to rip out the walls that surrounded the sump, as well as the platform the 280g was on.

Bobby stopped by today to discuss what to do about the nefarious water heater plumbing that is completely in the way again. I''ve hated where it was 6 years ago, and it's gonna have to change this time. I posted a bunch of pictures in my blog entry: http://www.reefaddicts.com/entry.php/775-Tear-down-the-wall

It's sad to have to demolish what I worked on, but it had to be done. I'm looking forward to the new set up, that's for sure. In the meantime, my livingroom is going to get a little more ridiculous as everything moves out of the fishroom to make room for the necessary construction.

Leave it to me to state the obvious, but that kid seems to have grown up a bit in the past 6 years!

He's finally coming in handy. Took a while, right?

Not again. Once was plenty. [smilie=punch.gif]

I hope so. All this work for an ugly one would just be sad. [smilie=giggle.gif]

What have you done with all your livestock? I can't imagine tearing that tank down. It was so full of stuff, big, big corals.

It was transferred to some vats. I posted a bunch of pictures here: http://www.reefaddicts.com/content.php/189-The-breakdown-of-my-280-gallon-reef-tank

And I also did a presentation at the last meeting and discussed the breakdown. Today, my son and Bobby helped pull the sump out of the fishroom into the livingroom. I'll post pictures about that project soon.

Yesterday, Bobby and my son came over to help move the sump out. It took over 5 hours, but it works great.
