Macro madness

[I have four different kinds of green macro growing in my tank.
Valonia, which i like:

Green Bubble, which most people hate:

Green Grape (Caulerpa Racemosa) which grows way too fast:

And Mermaids Wineglass, which is really pretty:

I don't mind the wineglass, but the others need some control. I know that my new regal tang eats the wineglass, but have yet to see her eat the others. What is anyone's success with rabbitfish, emerald crabs, or other creatures in eating these other varieties?

[Tony I can say I added a Rabbitfish about a year ago because of a bubbly algae issue. In fact it's the same one Mitch just added to his tank, he wrote about in his Byopsis plumosa post. link From my experience, he is an unbelievable grazer and I no longer have any problem with valonia. The one thing I will say that has surprised me is how fast this fish has grown. He is going to be a big fish and in a hurry. That and now all of the algae is gone I have considered trying to get him out of the tank. Though I am not sure how I would do this and if I really would. They are okay fish and seem to get along with others, their just not that spectacular to look at. And his bioload could be replaced by another fish I want, but will not add at this time because of the number I have all ready.]

[The rabbitfish family are the only ones I have consisantly seen eat this stuff.

By the way there are some really pretty rabbitfish (2 barred and decorated) but they get pretty big.

The foxface while common is an awesome fish and I love them.]

[I had a rabbit that got knocked out during the Ich. I didn't realize how much work he was doing for me. I just thought the algae wasn't growing because nothing else in the tank was at that time. I had three of them in a 2 month period. Two just up and died, the last one got ich. Maybe I'll try again. Thanks for the info.]

[I think that my emerald crab has eaten a lot of my valonia in my tank. About a month ago I had a large outbreak of valonia, but since I added the emerald, it has all but disappeared.

[emerald crabs work on valonia. Have not seen any sice shortly after I put the rascal in there. dont see him much but he does show himself on rare occasions.]
