So i recently went back to metal halides and for the first time went with sunlight supply lumenmax reflectors and so far they seem a little dim. I purchase two 250 watt reflectors with radium bulbs. Ive got them approx 12 inches above the water and it seems the coverage is very intense in a small area. Ive got the bulbs running longways from side to side. What changes could be made to give me the intensity to grow clams/sps on the sandbed but also give me good coverage where i can eliminate dim spots
